  • Machine Number: 6688
  • Current Operating Status: A diagram of your machine will be used to monitor the machine status.
  • Fault Pop-Up Screens: Notification screens make it easy for the operator to diagnose and locate of faults during production runs.
  • Password Protected Modes of Operation: HMI allows you to run in several different modes of operation along with controlled access to these modes.
  • Station Enable / Disable: Under this heading, the trained technician may turn stations on and off. This allows for much easier troubleshooting and eliminates usage of parts at other stations during debugging.
  • PLC Control: The machine will be controlled by a PLC with ladder logic programming. Servo motion control runs through an SERCOS RING fiber optic communication block to control speed and location. An Ethernet module is used to communicate between the PLC and camera data. Data storage can be retrieved through small touch screen panels that are also used for operator interface.
  • Cycle Rate: 20 parts per minute.

Standard Aeronautical fasteners uses a sealant, manually applied, just before installation. Here, a new type of sealant, which cures in air, is applied to threads of fasteners in a nitrogen environment. Then a second coating is applied to seal off air to the first application. The process is based around a cam driven rotary indexer with servo-controlled applicators with a robotic offload into trays, after curing, to make sure the second coating is not compromised, allowing the first coat to cure.
